Bone-Regulating MicroRNAs and Resistance Exercise: A Mini-Review

نویسندگان

چکیده

MicroRNAs (miRNA) are a class of short noncoding RNA that play important roles in controlling gene expression. Many miRNAs have been identified as being regulators bone cell function, thus affecting the remodeling processes. In addition to expressed specific tissues and exerting intracellular effects, can enter blood where they be taken up by other tissues. These circulating (c-miRNA) also clinical significance biomarkers musculoskeletal diseases tissue-specific, stable easily detectable, require minimally invasive procedures. This mini-review discusses with regulatory metabolism c-miRNA responses acute bouts resistance exercise. MiRNA (e.g., upregulation/downregulation expression) vary depending on exercise protocol characteristics age participants. There gaps literature need addressed most studies focused regulate skeletal muscle male

Neuregulins Response to Exercise: a Mini Review

The Neuregulin is a member of the epidermal growth factors (EGF) family of receptor kinases, was originally identified as the product of the transforming gene derived from chemically induced rat neuroblastoms. A variety of different protein isoforms are produced from single Neuregulin gene. Four distinct vertebrate gene encode Neuregulin, prosaically named NRG1, NRG2, NRG3, and NRG4. Most of bi...

Bone Tissue Engineering: a Mini-Review

Despite advances in bone tissue engineering, auto grafts from intra-oral or extra-oral donor sites are still the gold standard for treatment of large craniomaxillofacial defects. Biomaterial development, application of growth factor, and stem cells, open new gateway to bone regeneration studies, but real translation from bench to bedside have not yet happened. In this review article, a number o...

Factors Influencing Mini-Clinical Evaluation Exercise Scores: A Review Article

Introduction: The Mini-Clinical Evaluation Exercise (Mini-CEX ) is widely used to assess clinical performance because of its practicality. Although initial studies have supported its reliability and validity, the utility of Mini-CEX is under serious debate due to inconsistencies in rater judgments. This study aimed to review the relevant literature on the utility of Mini-CEX in order to find ou...

Sclerostin and Bone Aging: A Mini-Review.

Sclerostin, mainly produced by osteocytes, is now considered a major regulator of bone formation. Identified from patients with a low bone mass, sclerostin inhibits the Wnt pathway by binding to LRP5/6 and subsequently increases bone formation. Sclerostin may also play a role in the mediation of systemic and local factors such as calcitriol, PTH, glucocorticoids and tumor necrosis factor-alpha....
